A wire saw with a diamond drill bit slowly cuts the reinforced concrete concrete slab on the bridge deck. The two large cranes lighten the long arm and lift a 4-ton concrete slab and gently put it off the bridge deck. On the bank of the river more than 20 meters away, there is no harsh explosion, no flying dust...
On the 23rd, at the demolition site of the Lushui Second Bridge in Chibi City, the reporter felt the charm of the bridge method.
Lushui Second Bridge is a reinforced concrete frame arch bridge on National Highway 107. It was built in the late 1980s. Due to long-term overload operation, it has become a four-class dangerous bridge. It is necessary to dismantle and build a reinforced concrete continuous box girder bridge in place. In the second half of last year, when Hubei Xingda Road and Bridge Co., Ltd. won the bid for the demolition and construction project, it was troublesome to remove the bridge.
The bridge is located in Chibi City and is demolished by traditional blasting methods. Noise pollution and dust pollution are very high. The abandoned concrete block easily blocks the river channel and affects the safety of the bridge at 40 meters downstream. In particular, the project only removes and reconstructs the upper structure of the bridge, and the blasting removal may disturb the lower structure. Xingda Company repeatedly screened the case of demolition at home and abroad and decided to remove it by bracket cutting method. After the demonstration of experts from China Railway Bridge Bureau and Wuhan University of Technology, it was put into construction in July this year.
Liu Zhengguo, manager of Xingda Bridge Branch, said that this process has two key steps, one is the full support bracket and the other is the segment cutting and dismantling.
The former, using 112 large steel pipes to piling, set up a belle platform. Above the platform, more than 40,000 small steel pipes are used to support the bridge deck. This work has been completed in August.
In the latter case, the 235-meter-long, 24-arch bridge deck was cut into 600 concrete slabs, which were removed from the outside to the inside and from the top to the bottom. At present, the bridge deck has been dismantled by one-third and can be completely dismantled in the middle of next month.
Which method of demolition is more cost-effective? Liu Zhengguo made a comparison. The explosion method requires only 30 tons of explosives, and the entire cost is 3.5 million yuan; the bracket method requires 10 million yuan for brackets and platforms, but these two systems are used when building new bridges, and the actual cost is less than 2 million yuan.
There is also a feature of the bracket method. The "demolition" and "construction" processes are linked together, and the pace of construction of the new bridge will be greatly accelerated. The bridge is expected to be completed and open to traffic in October next year.
It is reported that the bracket method is equipped with noise control, dust prevention, sewage discharge and other measures. The construction of the site has been carried out for more than two months. The atmosphere, water body and soil quality near the Lushui Second Bridge have not changed. Everyone who passed the section every day was amazed: "Which is like a bridge, it is clearly moving bricks." Ren Huijun, senior engineer of China Railway Bridge Bureau, believes that Xingda's bracket cutting is more environmentally friendly, safer and more secure than traditional blasting methods. Cost savings are “there is little in the country, the first case in Hubei”.
